Mitzvah Technique and Me
I was introduced to Mitzvah by my husband. He was looking for a way to deal with his own aches and pains and met Peter Nishimura at the Roundhouse Community Center in Vancouver. Peter exemplified good posture and my husband began taking group classes with him. When I met my husband I was able to occasionally join in these classes.
Peter moved to Sapporo and my husband and I moved to Tokyo. On one occasion we visited Sapporo to study with Peter. And, we were able to attend a workshop with him in the Tokyo countryside, with our Japanese landlord, as well as take some private lessons. But, I really needed to become a Mitzvah Teacher.
In 2007 we left Japan and returned to Canada, arriving in Toronto in early 2008. I've been studying the Mitzvah Technique intensively since.
